I've owned several Fender American Strats over the years including the Big Apple which I loved. I was a bit leery on purchasing a Mexican Strat as I felt they just didn't have the feel, hardware, electronics and fit and finish of the American models. Because of the HH design, black body, maple neck and of course the price, I had to give one of these Strat Blacktops a shot. I figured I could upgrade hardware and electronics if need be. What a surprise! This guitar is really put together well. No slop between the neck and body, fit and finish is top notch. The pickups are actually quite good.
