The time had come for my son to graduate from a pad set to a real drum set. After shopping around looking at student level drum sets, we decided on this one. Our family philosophy when buying things is to go for quality and then keep them a long time. This set fits that philosophy and we could not be happier with the purchase. Outstanding shell quality. Outstanding fit, finish and hardware. Acceptable drum heads - not my favorites but are good quality and will work well for now.
